Practical training on how to grow seasonal vegetable crops. This course will teach you a wide range of skills to grow your own fresh, seasonal vegetables.

What you will learn This course will teach you a wide range of practical skills to successfully grow your own fresh seasonal vegetables.
Learn about the different crop growing techniques:

  • Root crops: how to grow root crops such as carrots, potatoes, garlic, onions etc.
  • Fruiting crops: to grow fruiting crops such as tomato’s, eggplant, capsicum, chillies, zucchini etc.
  • Leaf crops: how to grow leaf crops such as cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, silverbeet etc.

We also cover information on what to sow when and how. You will also receive a free packet of seeds!

What to wear, what to bring: Wear comfortable gardening clothes including sturdy shoes. Bring a hat and your lunch. Depending on the time of the year you might also need to bring wet weather gear or sunblock!
What we provide: You will receive free course handouts covering the course content. We will also send you away with a free packet of seeds so that you can get started in your own garden.

All gardening tools required during the course are provided on site as well as tea and coffee facilities to keep you hydrated.

In addition to this you will receive practical skills, a wealth of knowledge and some great networks to support your future gardening endeavours. All participants are emailed a Course Certificate after the course.

Your trainer: Michael is the founder of Grow Dynamix and is a qualified horticulturist and trainer with over 30 years-experience in the industry. His experience covers market gardens, production and retail nurseries, landscaping and garden design, organic food production and the design and running of school and community food gardens. Michael works regularly on local and international food security projects and is passionate about teaching people how to grow their own food so that they can eat healthy, save money and enjoy the art of successful gardening.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds for non-attendance. If you are unable to attend the course you are booked into you are welcome to arrange for a family member or friend to take your place. Or alternatively email us ( 24hours prior to the course commencing to arrange attendance at the same course on another date.
